Harlequin Expedition

Marcellino Harrison Quinzel is an eccentric scientist who was part of the scientific team sent from Earth. Much mystery surrounds him. Rumors claim he was exiled and excommunicated from Multiple Earth's scientific communities due to his controversial and borderline unethical research methods. Whispers speak of forbidden experiments involving consciousness transfer and the manipulation of dimensional barriers using augmented reality. He was accepted onto the Titania expedition perhaps because the mission needed someone willing to handle situations others wouldn't dare approach or even contemplate. Some say the expedition leaders knew they'd encounter phenomena that conventional science couldn't explain.

After settling on the planet and contributing to most of the early discoveries, including the mapping of the crystalline cave systems and the documentation of Titania's unique geological anomalies, he became fascinated by what he calls "Arcana energy," an unknown force that animates the golems and aids the Beasten inhabitants. This Arcana energy appeared to emanate from wells scattered across the planet, each pulsing with a different coloured luminescence. The natives called them "Spirit Springs," and treated them with reverence bordering on worship.
