Karnarass is the most explored and well-documented continent of Fromurth, representing the planet’s vast diversity within its own lands. To the north, the Hardheim Commonwealth is characterized by European-inspired climates and landscapes, while the southern reaches give way to the Enotemara Güdatan, where Mediterranean warmth and African-like expanses shape its people and cultures.
At its heart lies the Trucehold of Embassra, a great political and cultural nexus where north and south meet, serving as both a mediator and a melting pot of ideas. Though Karnarass dominates current knowledge of the world, it also marks the edge of the known—beyond its shores, the wider planet of Fromurth remains mysterious, its continents still veiled in myth and speculation.
Wilvaryn, known as the Butterfly Land or Land of the Fallen Butterfly Goddess, is a forbidden continent at Fromurth’s South Pole, once the homeland of the ancient Gaian. Three millennia ago, a great Catastrophe, known as the War of Heaven and Earth, shattered their society, leaving behind cursed glaciers, black auroras, and crystalline ruins said to whisper with the voices of the dead.
Today, the land is a perilous mix of frozen wastelands, Taiga forests at its borders, unstable magical storms, insectoid-mutated wildlife, and remnants of Gaian cities, believed by some to guard or imprison the sleeping goddess beneath the ice.
International law ( Karnarass States laws ) forbids entry without sanction, yet smugglers, cults, and secret societies risk everything for its relics and hidden power, fueling both political disputes over colonisation and fears that disturbing Wilvaryn could trigger another world-shaking disaster.
Ryū Shotō is a federation of eight nations, each a distinct culture, ethnicity, and history; unified under a shared imperial banner. Unlike monolithic empires, Ryū Shotō survives through a delicate balance of regional pride, ancient rivalries, and central authority.
The federation was created after a devastating continental war. Instead of conquering enemies outright, the victorious Dragon Court integrated the surviving states into an empire-federation that promised autonomy… but demanded absolute loyalty.
Where the Northern Empire rejects Beastens, Ryū Shotō is deeply prejudiced toward Gaians—those with earth-attuned magic, plant traits, or animalistic features tied to nature.
