Beasten

Besten, Beastfolks, or Beastmen is the colloquial term used to refer to beasts. They are drastically different, culturally and physiognomically, from humans and mer. Beasten come in a variety of colours and body structures, and they are multiple sub-species to the same race as humans. Compared to humans, beasts are taller than humans by two times, and their lungs can breathe high concentrated air with oxygen. Technoligically and Scientifically they are as devloped as human but with less interest in space travel.

According to the Besten oral tradition, their race was created by a powerful being known only as the "Great Spirit." The Great Spirit breathed life into the first Bestens, who were created from the very earth and sky itself. They were given strength, intelligence, and a love for all living things. The Great Spirit tasked the Bestens with caring for the planet and all its creatures.

As the Bestens prospered, they began to develop their own unique culture, steeped in reverence for the natural world and a deep connection to the land. They built great cities of stone and wood, and created beautiful works of art and technology inspired by the plants, animals, and elements of their world. They also established complex systems of government and religion, which helped to guide and sustain their society for generations to come.

Despite the challenges they faced, the Bestens remained steadfast in their commitment to the Great Spirit's teachings. They worked tirelessly to maintain a balance between their own needs and the needs of the planet, and they respected the boundaries of the other living things with whom they shared the world. Over time, the Bestens became one of the most advanced and revered civilizations in the galaxy, known for their wisdom, strength, and compassion.
